Syncing products
Syncing brings your Shopify products into Jewel Value so you can link them to valuations.
Sync Products
On Integrations > Shopify, select Sync Products (the Jewel Value home page in Shopify admin has the same action). Jewel Value imports every product and shows how many were synced.
For each product it stores the title, vendor, product type, tags, featured image, and the first variant's price, compare-at price, SKU and barcode. It doesn't import stock levels or sales.
Keeping up to date
When you edit or delete a product in Shopify, Shopify notifies Jewel Value and the product is updated or removed automatically. Select Sync Products for a full re-import at any time — for example after a bulk import in Shopify.
Auto-Sync Products
Switch on Auto-Sync Products in the Sync Settings on Integrations > Shopify to have Jewel Value run that full re-import for you on a schedule, as a safety net for any product change a notification missed. It's off by default.
- Choose how often it runs under Sync Interval, just below the switch: every 15 or 30 minutes, every 1, 3, 6 or 12 hours, or every 24 hours. It's every hour until you change it. You can change it while Auto-Sync Products is on; only admins and owners can change it, like the other Sync Settings.
- The interval is counted from the last completed sync, so selecting Sync Products yourself also resets the clock. Last Sync shows when the most recent one finished, and the current interval is shown next to it.
- If a scheduled sync fails (for example Shopify is briefly unavailable), Jewel Value waits a full interval before trying again.
The Synced Products table
Search by title or SKU. Each row shows the product, SKU, price, linked valuation and sync status, with these actions:
- Link (or Change): choose a valuation to link to the product. See Certificate metafields and the product-page block.
- Create: makes a draft valuation from the product, with its title and price and your Default Category. Open it from Valuations, choose the real customer and location, check every detail, and submit it as usual.
- The open-in-Shopify button opens the product in Shopify admin.
A valuation records the value on the day it was made; it doesn't change when the product's price changes in Shopify.
