Connecting your Shopify store

There are two ways to connect a Shopify store.

Install from the Shopify App Store

The simplest route: installing creates the connection and sets up billing through Shopify. See Installing from the Shopify App Store.

Connect an existing Jewel Value account

If you signed up at jewelvalue.app:

Open Integrations in the sidebar and go to Shopify.
Enter your store domain, for example yourstore.myshopify.com.
Select Connect Shopify Store. You're sent to Shopify to approve the connection, then back to Jewel Value.

Permissions Jewel Value requests

read_products: import your products — title, vendor, type, tags, featured image, and the first variant's price, SKU and barcode.
write_products: add a certificate link to a product using a Jewel Value metafield.
read_orders: create draft valuations from new orders, only if you turn on Auto-Create Valuations.

Orders can include the buyer's name and email address. When you use automatic valuations, Jewel Value copies them onto the draft valuation. It uses this information only to provide the service and does not sell it.

Shopify settings in Jewel Value

Integrations > Shopify shows the connection status, shop domain and last sync, and holds:

Sync Products and the Synced Products table — see Syncing products
Auto-Create Valuations and Default Category — see Valuation drafts from Shopify orders
Auto-Sync Products — see Syncing products

Disconnecting

On Integrations > Shopify, select Disconnect and confirm. Jewel Value removes its Shopify notifications and the stored connection. Synced products and linked valuations are kept. To remove the app from Shopify entirely, uninstall it in Shopify admin.
