Installing from the Shopify App Store
Installing Jewel Value from the Shopify App Store creates your account, connects your store and sets up billing through Shopify.
Install
- Open the Jewel Value listing on the Shopify App Store and select Install.
- Review the permissions — read products, write products and read orders — and approve them. See Connecting your Shopify store for what each is used for.
- Choose a plan on Shopify's plan page and approve it. The page shows each plan's price and any free trial.
Jewel Value starts your company details from your Shopify store. Check and complete them in Settings > Company before you issue certificates.
Your account starts in English. When the Jewel Value home page in Shopify admin first loads, it switches the account language to your Shopify admin language if Jewel Value is available in it — once, and only if nobody has chosen a language in Settings > Regional. See Changing the interface language.

Open Jewel Value from Apps in Shopify admin. The home page has:
- A billing button that opens Shopify's plan page, where you change or manage your plan
- A button that opens the full Jewel Value app, already signed in — it offers to create your first valuation until you have one
- Next steps: up to three suggested actions, such as creating your first valuation, completing your company details, activating billing, syncing products and enabling certificate display
- Setup guide: store connected, company details, Shopify billing active, products synced, certificate display and valuation workflow started. Company details has its own button that opens Settings > Company in the full app.
- Panels for product sync, recent valuations, storefront display, and your connection and billing details
Certificate display on product pages
The Storefront display panel has a button that opens Shopify's theme editor with the Valuation Certificate block added to your default product template. Review it there and save the theme.
Shopify doesn't tell Jewel Value whether the block is in your theme, so certificate display stays on your to-do list until you confirm in the same panel that you've added it. See Certificate metafields and the product-page block.
Signing in without Shopify
To also sign in at jewelvalue.app with an email and password, open Settings > Profile in the full app and use Set up standalone login.
