Understanding billing cycles
Billing Cycles
Jewel Value bills monthly. Your billing cycle starts the day you subscribe and renews on that calendar day each month.
Free trial
New accounts come with a 14-day free trial. No card is required up front.
- A banner in the dashboard shows how many trial days remain
- When the trial ends, access to valuations, customers, and reports is paused
until you choose a plan — your data is kept safe and Settings > Billing stays available so you can subscribe at any time
Plan changes
Upgrading takes effect immediately and is prorated. Downgrading takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Payment methods
Standalone accounts pay through Stripe — open Settings > Billing and click Manage Payment Method to update your card.
Shopify-installed accounts are billed through Shopify's app subscription system; the Manage Plan button in Settings opens the Shopify Admin pricing page.
Failed payments
If a charge fails:
- Stripe retries automatically over the following weeks
- Your account moves to a past due state but stays fully usable during
the retry window
- You can update your card any time from Settings > Billing
Refunds
We offer a full refund within the first 30 days. Contact support@jewelvalue.app from the email on your account.
