Verifying a certificate with its QR code

Every certificate carries a certificate number and a QR code, so insurers, buyers or your customer can check that it's genuine.

How to verify

• Scan the QR code on the certificate. It opens the verification page at jewelvalue.app/portal/verify with the certificate number filled in.
• Or go to jewelvalue.app/portal/verify and type the certificate number.

The certificate number is different from the valuation reference you see inside the app.

What the page shows

For a valid certificate:

• Valid Certificate, with its status
• The certificate number and issue date, and a Valid until date one year after the issue date. After that date the status shows as expired.
• The item title and category
• The issuing business

The valuation amount is not shown.

Superseded certificates

If the valuation has been replaced by an approved amendment, the page reports that the certificate has been superseded and asks the reader to contact the issuing jeweller for the current certificate. See Amendments and superseded certificates.

Not found

A certificate number is found only once its certificate has been issued. If a number isn't found, check it for typing errors, then contact the issuing jeweller.
