Editing a Valuation

Open any valuation from the list and click Edit. The same five-step wizard reopens with the saved values.

What's editable

Everything except the reference number (assigned at create time and printed on the certificate). If you need to invalidate a reference, mark the valuation Cancelled and create a new one.

Versioning and certificates

If the certificate has already been generated:

• Editing fields that appear on the certificate puts the certificate in regenerate state
• The next time the customer opens the share link, they get the updated PDF
• The old PDF stays in Cloudinary for audit purposes — it isn't deleted

Audit log

Every edit is logged with user, timestamp and the field that changed. View the full history from Activity or by clicking the History tab on a valuation.

Optimistic locking

If two staff edit the same valuation at once, the second save returns a 409 conflict and prompts you to refresh. This prevents silent overwrites.
