Your getting-started checklist
Owners and admins get a Set up your business checklist on the dashboard. It lists the setup that makes your first certificate correct, and each step links to the screen named below.
The dashboard shows one setup prompt at a time. Until your first certificate exists, a short first-certificate guide comes first; once you dismiss it or issue a certificate, the checklist takes its place. Steps tick themselves off as you save the details, and the card disappears when every step is done. You can also dismiss it, or start the guided tour from it.
1. Company details
Settings > Company: company and trading name, contact email, phone, website, registration and VAT numbers, and business address. Your trading name (or company name), contact email, phone and website print on certificates. The step ticks once the company name, email, address line 1 and city are saved. 2. Currency and language
Settings > Regional: language, default currency, number and currency locale, date format and timezone. New valuations start in your default currency, and certificates are produced in your account language. See Regional settings overview.
3. Appraiser defaults
Settings > Branding, Certificates tab, Professional record: appraiser name, credentials, registration number and professional notice. These print on a certificate when the valuation doesn't name its own appraiser. They're available on every plan.
4. Logo and certificate design
Settings > Branding: upload your logo, choose one of fifteen certificate designs and set your brand theme. Your logo prints on certificates on every plan. The designs, colours and brand theme are part of the Professional and Enterprise plans and are included during your free trial. On Basic, this step is done once your logo is uploaded. 5. Invite your team
Settings > Team > Invite Team Member. Basic includes 2 team members, Professional 10 and Enterprise unlimited. See Inviting team members.
6. Create your first certificate
Create a valuation, submit it, approve it and generate the certificate. Use fictional details for a practice run. See How to create your first valuation.
Getting help
The Help menu in the top bar opens the help centre, the training videos and support, and restarts the guided tour. The compass button next to it also starts, resumes or restarts the tour.
